Dagdusheth Ganapati

Located near Laxmi Road.

Richest ganapati, adoring with gold ornaments, diamond crown etc. (many famous personalities donated ornaments).

Well decorated and hugely crowded during Ganesh Festival.

 

 
Kasba Ganapati

Located at Kasba Peth near Lal Mahal.

Trishundya Ganapati Temple

Located in Somwar Peth.

Another temple of Lord Ganesh built during Peshwas period.

This idol has three trunks (Tri-Shundya) is the speciality. This idol is made from wood

Temple of Parvati and Devadeshwar (God Shankar) having 108 steps.

Omkareshwar Temple

Located at Shaniwar Pet.

Oldest Temple ( 250 years old) constructed in Stone.

Omkareshwar and Amruteshwar are main Shivalayas.


   
 
Mahalakshmi Temple

Located near Saras Baugh.

This is a temple of the Goddess Mahalakshmi, built in marble and constructed by Bansilal Agarwal in 1980’s.

The architecture of the temple is a replica of the Dilwara temple of Mount Abu, Rajasthan. The conical roof of the temple holds statuettes of gods and goddesses painted in different colours.

The idols of the three goddesses Lakshmi, Durga and Saraswati have place in the temple in three different alcoves.

Festivals are held during Navratri, Diwali and Dhanurmas.

The temple is open between 6:00 am to 12:00 p.m. and between 4:30p.m.to 10:00 p.m. Aarti is at 7:15 both in the morning and evening.

   
 
Pataleshwar Cave Temple

Located near Jangli Maharaj Road.

8th Centry temple of Shiva, carved from One Single Rock with circular Nandi mandapam at the front.
   
 
Vaishnodevi Temple

Temple of Vaishnodevi Approximately 20km from the city of Pune, in Pimpri, lies the temple of Goddess Vaishnodevi.

It was built in the year 1993 in just 90 days and is a replica of the Vaishnodevi temple located at the Katra village in Jammu and Kashmir.

The inside of the temple is hexagonal in shape and there are a variety of beautiful pictures on the walls. In order to see the Devi, one has to crawl through a small cave and there is a spring in the cave which automatically washes your feet clean before you reach the Devi.

Note: No leather articles are allowed inside the temple.
   
 
Gurudwar

Located at Ganesh Peth, 2 kms from Railway station.

The birth anniversaries of the first guru, Guru Nanakdevji and tenth guru, Guru Govindsinghji are celebrated as festivals.

   
 
Lal Dewal

Located at the heart of city (Formerly known as Synagogue).

Red Brick structure is a famous Shirine of the Jews.

This construction is of English Gothik type it has 90 feet high obelisk on which a watch is hung. It was brought specially from London.

   
 
Kamar Ali Darvesh Darga

Located at Shivapur , about 15 kms from Pune.

The Kamar Ali Darvesh Darga has two huge stones which can be lifted by reciting the sacred name of Kamar Ali Darvesh in one breath. Out of the two stones one can be lifted up by a group of seven people using just one finger each, with all the seven of them saying Kamar Ali Darvesh in one breath. The other stone can be lifted the same way, the only diference is the people in the group should be eleven.

People of all religions visit the darga . There is an 'urus' or fair held at Shivapur once every year.

   
 
Derasar ( Guruwar Peth )

Located about 2 kms from Swargate.

Famous place for Jain community.
