Software Exporters' Association of Pune (SEAP), was formed in 1998 to foster better
interaction among Software Export units in Pune and to present a common front to
various Government agencies to reduce obstacles in their day-to-day operations.
SEAP promotes and safeguards the interests of Software Exporters in Pune. It places
a special emphasis on guiding its members in dealing with various local, state and
national level organisations and to influence policy changes in order to promote
growth of Software Exports from Pune with following objectives :
- To promote and project the Software Exporters' Community in Pune to the Indian Government,
the Indian Industry and in the International export market
- To set up a Knowledge Base for the benefit of the members and other organizations
with similar interests
- To guide the Software Exporters in Export-related activities through training programmes,
meetings, seminars, lectures etc
- To promote and safeguard the interests of software exporters in Pune
- To collectively represent the technical difficulties and grievances faced by the
Software Exporters in front of the respective organizations and try to find amicable,
legal solutions by seeking changes in the Government policy or improvement / changes
in the prevailing rules
- To work for the betterment of the member exporters by providing various services
(viz. communication, commercial or financial help) of benefit to them
- To cooperate with institutions having similar objectives
- To establish scholarships, grants, rewards and prizes to encourage the study of
industrial, commercial, scientific and technical knowledge in development &
trade of software, both in India and abroad
- To publish and distribute material which may be considered desirable or necessary
for the promotion of the objectives of the Software Exporters' community
- To do everything necessary or conducive to the attainment of all or any of the objective
